Family Assistant salary: what are the guidelines?
A Family Assistant in direct employment earns on average between €3,500 and €5,000 gross per month, based on a full time position of 40 hours per week. The exact salary depends on experience, education, the scope of tasks and whether the role also includes a PA component. An FA with a combined FA/PA role is generally at the upper end of this range.
Direct employment: how it works at The Family Assistant
We work exclusively with the direct employment model. The Family Assistant is officially employed by you under an employment contract. As the employer, you pay employer costs on top of the gross salary; expect around 20 to 30% on top of the gross salary. This includes social security contributions and pension accrual, among other things. We guide you through this process so that everything is arranged correctly from a legal and administrative point of view.
Employing privately or through your business
Just as with a Nanny, you can employ a Family Assistant either privately or through your business. For entrepreneurs or professionals who also deploy the FA in a business capacity, for example as a Personal Assistant, attractive tax arrangements may apply.
