Nanny or Family Assistant in Brussels and its green surroundings

Brussels is the capital of Europe. The EU institutions, NATO, embassies, international companies and law firms bring families from every part of the world to the city and to the green municipalities around it, such as Uccle, Kraainem, Wezembeek Oppem, Sint Genesius Rode, Tervuren and Overijse. Parents with a demanding role and an international schedule want someone at home they can trust completely.

The Family Assistant also works in Belgium, where we already match families in places such as Antwerp, Brasschaat, Edegem and Knokke. Families in and around Brussels can come to us for a Nanny or Family Assistant who works for one family from 30 hours a week.

Working for Europe, at home in Brussels

If you work for an EU institution or an international organisation, you know the long days of meetings, the sudden business trips and the evenings that run late. Many families live here for a posting of several years, with children at an international or European school and no relatives nearby to fall back on. A dedicated Nanny brings continuity. She takes the children to school and picks them up, keeps daily routines steady, helps with homework and prepares a healthy evening meal, even when one parent is away.

Growing up multilingual in a multilingual city

In many Brussels families, more than one language is spoken at the dinner table: French, Dutch, English and often a native language as well. We are happy to look for a candidate who suits the languages and the upbringing in your family. Our Nannies and Family Assistants usually speak good English, and we also work with Nannies who speak a second language alongside Dutch. Read more about TFA for expats.

Uccle, Tervuren and Overijse: spacious living by the Sonian Forest

Around the Sonian Forest, families live in spacious houses with gardens, some distance from schools, sports clubs and the office. There is a lot of driving, and the traffic around Brussels does not make planning any easier. A Family Assistant takes that organisation off your hands. She manages the family diary, schedules doctor and dentist appointments, arranges maintenance of the house and cars, coordinates other staff and organises dinners and receptions. That leaves you free to focus on your work and on time together.

Discretion for diplomatic and business families

For families in diplomacy, politics or international business, confidentiality goes without saying. Discretion is one of our three core values. We treat all information with the highest degree of confidentiality, and our Nannies and Family Assistants are trained to work professionally and with restraint.
