Nanny I in Amstelveen / Naarden

We are looking for an experienced nanny to join a warm, sociable, and entrepreneurial family who wants to play a valuable role in their daily family life. The family consists of two dedicated parents, an enterprising young daughter, and a newborn son. At the end of 2026, the family will be moving to the Gooi region (Naarden), where they would like to establish a long-term relationship with a professional nanny who will become part of their family with love, independence, and dedication.

Are you an experienced professional who knows how to guide and challenge children in a natural way while providing a safe environment? If so, this is a wonderful opportunity to begin a long-term partnership with a warm and open family.

About the family

This active and adventurous family enjoys spending time together. Family and friends are regularly invited over, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The parents describe themselves as sociable, approachable, and involved. They believe it’s important for their children to grow up in an environment that offers plenty of room for exploration, play, and fun, while also providing clear boundaries and structure.

The oldest daughter is a smart, energetic, and curious girl who loves to be active. She enjoys reading books, socializing, and trying new things. She thrives on personal attention and flourishes when challenged with activities that support her development. She doesn’t thrive as well in a traditional childcare setting; instead, she benefits from a nanny who actively takes her out and about and knows how to keep up with her enthusiasm.

With the arrival of her younger brother, the family is entering a new phase, and the parents are eager to work with an experienced nanny who can support them and contribute ideas as a co-parent.

The position

As a nanny, you are responsible for the daily care, guidance, and development of the children. You create a safe and loving environment where they feel valued and can thrive.

You understand what young children need and know how to strike a natural balance between freedom, structure, and loving boundaries. You come up with appropriate activities, encourage the children’s development, and make sure that the oldest daughter, in particular, gets enough challenges and exercise throughout the day.

In addition to caring for the children, you’ll help ensure that family life runs smoothly by taking on a few practical, child-related tasks.

Work

  • Daily care and supervision of the children
  • Organizing development-oriented activities
  • Regularly going on outings and participating in outdoor activities
  • Promoting independence and development
  • Preparing healthy, varied meals
  • Grocery shopping
  • Child-related household chores
  • Identifying needs within the family and responding to them proactively
  • Act as a co-educator and sounding board for the parents

Who are we looking for?

For this position, we are looking for an experienced nanny with a warm personality and a natural calmness. You are loving, dedicated, and know how to guide children in a positive way. At the same time, you are independent, take initiative, and have a good sense of what a family needs.

You enjoy working actively with children and find it energizing to organize fun and educational activities. You communicate openly and clearly and enjoy building lasting relationships based on trust with both the children and their parents.

In addition, you have:

  • Extensive experience with young children and babies
  • A warm, loving, and caring attitude
  • Independence and a sense of responsibility
  • A proactive work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Good command of the Dutch language
  • A Class B driver's license

What does the family offer?

  • A long-term, stable position within a warm and welcoming family
  • A workweek of approximately 36–40 hours
  • Workdays are flexible but must include Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
  • Working hours from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Estimated salary of €3,500 to €4,500 gross per month based on full-time employment (40 hours), depending on experience and background
  • 10% pension plan
  • Travel reimbursement
  • Opportunity to travel twice a year during vacations
  • Professional guidance and support from TFA throughout the entire partnership

Practical Information
