Organizing like the best(!)

I would like to take you through a working day of the family assistant.

The Family Assistant starts the day with the family, at the end of last week the Family Assistant created the calendar for this week, this gives her a good idea of what today and the rest of the week looks like.

The Family Assistant starts the day by reading emails and sports apps, she checks what is needed and responds accordingly. The field hockey app says; next week the indoor hockey season starts. This means that today the needed clothing is checked and purchased what is missing or too small. The Family Assistant checks the sports store's website and sees that an appointment needs to be made. Fortunately, they still have space at 10 a.m. this day. She makes a list and goes to the appropriate store to purchase the items.

Around 11 a.m., the housekeeping staff comes in and the Family Assistant welcomes them with a cup of coffee. Over coffee, the Family Assistant discusses with the staff what is on the schedule today. Think about: Will there be lodgers and which rooms need to be prepared? Together with the cook they discuss how many people will join for dinner tonight, because today a number of people will spontaneously stay for dinner and the night.

Because there are additional people staying for dinner tonight, the cook has indicated that he needs extra groceries for dinner, also he needs more linen for table decorating. The Family Assistant will make sure the groceries are in the house by 1 p.m.

Meanwhile, the oldest daughter comes home and the Family Assistant will welcome her with a cup of tea, they discuss together how her day was at school, the FA will take the daughter to horseback riding. And set up her things in advance. At the riding school it turns out that the horse still needs to be saddled, the FA helps where she can. After the lesson, she also pays the membership fee.

During the horseback riding lesson, the Family Assistant receives a call from the mother of the family, her father will need to be taken to the doctor in 15 minutes. The Family Assistant immediately switches gears and drives Grandpa to the doctor during the horseback riding lesson, fortunately he lives around the corner so the FA is back in plenty of time to bring the daughter back home from horseback riding lesson. She has communicated with Mother that she will pick Grandpa up from the doctor's office again.

Around 4:30 p.m., they return home. The Family Assistant checks the rooms for the lodgers and makes sure everything is taken care of to perfection. Some fresh flowers are still missing, so the FA jumps on his bike to purchase these as well and puts them in a nice vase.

By now it is 5:30 p.m., all the children are busy with homework, the Family Assistant checks to see if they need homework help. This is not the case so the Family Assistant can prepare the table, for the sumptuous dinner.

At the beginning of the evening mother comes home from the family, the FA has lit the candles and it looks cozy, everything is ready for a cozy evening for the family.

The Family Assistant gives a brief handover to mother. The mother thanks the Family Assistant for the quick turnaround, this allowed her father to see the doctor after all. The Family Assistant wraps up the day feeling good and goes home satisfied.

Back home, the Family Assistant will continue her evening in relaxation and is looking forward to a new work day!

Kind regards,

Naomi
