Winter Time

Winter Time

The night of next Saturday to Sunday is once again.... WINTERTIME.

An extra hour of sleep is a dream of many parents, but unfortunately that doesn't work out ... the kids are just next to the bed an hour earlier!

How can you make sure, that the transition goes like this?

  1. Cold turkey: you switch to the new rhythm all at once. Nothing changes and you just join the new rhythm on Sunday.
  2. You let your baby get used to it next week, in small steps.

How do you apply step 2?
For four days, put your child to bed 15 minutes later. Not only do you shift up the bedtime ritual slightly, but also the times when your child eats. By doing this, you gradually shift up the rhythm in 4 days.

Day 1 07:00 12:00 17:30 19:00
Day 2 07:15 12:15 17:45 19:15

Day 4 07:45 12:45 18:15 19:45
Day 5 ==> Transition from summer to winter time.
The weather is also fluctuating quite a bit right now. Many parents find it difficult to decide how many layers of clothing to put on your child right now.

There are many sleeping bags for sale, from thin to thick. With each sleeping bag, the label says what the tog value is. This is a point system for the insulating quality of the fabric. The colder the environment, the higher the tog value. Be sure to take the temperature of the room your child sleeps in.

Wishing you a happy transition from summer to winter time!
